Company description
Touch Sensity is based on the development of a technology, the Sensity Tech, making materials sensitive to physical interactions. This non invasive technology allows to recover all the data from pressure, traction, deformation as bending, and damage applied on a material, while respecting its topology, and without using any sensors. An embedded system connected to the peryphery of the material, combined with artificial intelligence or mathematical models, allows to detect the interaction, know its intensity as force pressure or delamination depth, and locate it as a 2D or 3D mapping. It is then possible to associate the data with a dynamic environement, to transform the material into a sensitive surface, or to remotely control systems by feedback. This innovative technology is adaptable to different types of materials (solid or flexible) and to many applications such as structural health monitoring as non-destructive test and predictive maintenance, smart and connected composite materials, ...The main innovation of Sensity Tech is to provide the ability to monitor materials with non-invasive capture technology, in real time and adaptable to many situations. The surface of the material, whether flat or with a complex topology, will be able to be made sensitive and connected in order to meet the challenges of predictive maintenance and optimization of the manufacturing process. it is thus the material itself that become a sensitive surface, allowing to have a volumic analysis of the whole material. In addition, the fact of connecting only at the periphery of the material, without integrating sensors, without altering the surface as a whole and having the possibility of localizing the damage testifies to the originality of this technology.Our current results allowed us to validate the feasibility of the Sensity Tech on the impact, deformation and damage monitoring in real time, on a carbon composite part : - Impacts : Single and multiple impacts detection, localization and modelling. Real-time structural health monitoring following the impact. - Deformation as bending : Detection, localization and modelling with deformation angle measurement. A conclusion can be made following the deformation angle and the material aging, according bending tests realized. - Inner damage as delamination and fiber breaks : Characterization, localization and intensity of delaminated areas following a damage. Then, two different application has been highlighted by our aeronautics, space and transport clients with the technology : - On instrumented test bench : Provide previously non-accessible information. - On production line : Fast and non-destructive tests. - During system exploitation : Integrated in the system for predictive maintenance, data collection and structural health monitoring.
